Edward P. Armstrong, PharmD

Ed is professor emeritus in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy and president of Strategic Therapeutics, LLC. He obtained his BS in pharmacy from The University of Arizona and his PharmD degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Ed has written many articles and given numerous presentations on disease management and pharmacoeconomic applications. Ed serves as a scientific reviewer for publications submitted to the Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association, Pharmacotherapy, American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, Disease Management, Archives of Internal Medicine, Clinical Therapeutics, and Disease Management & Health Outcomes. He has been involved in numerous managed care database evaluations of disease areas including asthma, depression, prostate disease, infectious diseases, community acquired pneumonia, heart failure, diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, Sickle cell disease, and hypertension. Ed brings a strong background in pharmacotherapy and pharmacoeconomics.
Daniel C. Malone, RPh, PhD, FAMCP

Dan is a Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. Dan has conducted and published over 230 articles in the peer reviewed literature on medication safety and health economics and outcomes research. Over 12,000 papers have cited his published studies. Dan’s research experience includes randomized controlled trials, practice-based research, drug safety, economic modeling, and outcomes research using real-world data. His extramural research funding exceeds $18 million as Principal or co-Principal Investigator, with over $27 million in total funding. He was President of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research from 2015 to 2016. Dan is a Fellow of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and an American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education fellow. His awards include a Fellowship in Health Outcomes from the PhRMA Foundation, Excellence in Pharmacy Award from Mylan Pharmaceuticals, and Professional Achievement Award from the University of Colorado (awarded twice), and two Distinguished Service Awards from the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).
Amy Grizzle, PharmD

Prior to joining Strategic Therapeutics, Amy was the Associate Director of the Center for Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomic Research (HOPE Center) at the University of Arizona where she developed HEOR training programs and conducted research. She also has experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. Amy received her PharmD from The University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy and then completed a two-year pharmacoeconomic fellowship with the University of Arizona and Glaxo Inc. Some of her research included studying the use of pharmacoeconomic information in managed care decision making, patient outcomes associated with integrative medicine primary care, and the costs and outcomes of drug-drug interactions.
